Psalm 139:13-16
The Message (MSG)
13-16 Oh yes, you shaped me first inside, then out;
you formed me in my mother's womb.
I thank you, High God—you're breathtaking!
Body and soul, I am marvelously made!
I worship in adoration—what a creation!
You know me inside and out,
you know every bone in my body;
You know exactly how I was made, bit by bit,
how I was sculpted from nothing into something.
Like an open book, you watched me grow from conception to birth;
all the stages of my life were spread out before you,
The days of my life all prepared
before I'd even lived one day.
The absolute truth of these verses was driven home to me yesterday! I have always believed them. The very fact that cells from two different human beings can unite and become one is pretty amazing! As i visited with my daughter yesterday I got another glimpse at how marvelously God has made us and how He has provided for us. My daughter works in surgery at a hospital. Her job is to scrub into orthopedic surgeries and assist the doctors. Yesterday a man had a heart attack and needed emergency surgery. The cardiac surgeon thought he was going to need an extra pair of hands so my daughter was asked to scrub in. This was her first heart surgery. She explained the procedure with awe and wonder. The man need a better blodd supply to his heart so they replaced the bad artery with the mammory artey. The most amazing thing was how the heart healed itself. She explained that the left ventricl was extremely enlarged because of the mans condition but she watched as the blood supply was restored and the heart restarted that ventricle shrink back to its normal size!
God You are inded breathtaking! What a creation! There is nothing You have not thought of! There is nothing too difficult for You! Help me to never forget that I am Yours! you formed me, body and soul! I am marvelously made! When I feel less than or worthless remind me again of how much You love me, the care You took when You formed every part of me and the way You still care for and bless me! I love You LORD! In Jesus powerful, healing name, Amen!
