Welcome Marianne Vennitti to SCwSG

PR Manager for the Cryoblobunemia Vasculitis Awareness and Education Outreach

Hi, I’m Marianne Vennitti.  I live in New Jersey with my dearest friend and husband Chris. We have three children, Jenn age 39, John 34 and Michael 21 along with five grandchildren and our dog, Maggie. Thirteen years ago my life took a drastic change when my body refused to deliver me energy and decided to distribute agonizing pain throughout it. My life crumbled within one month, and six months later I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, rheumatoid arthritis along with Raynaud’s disease.  I mourned my old self and took on a new face and a new life.  Everyday has been a constant struggle, searching for answers and trying to bring some type of normalcy to my life and my family.

Approximately two years ago, my body went into kidney failure. This was the beginning of another unwelcome series of debilitating episodes. It took one year for my husband and I to find an answer, at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, to why my body was failing me once again. We were told I have a rare disease called cryoglobulinemia vasculitis. I searched the Internet trying to find information about this new mysterious disease.  Along with a sparse amount of information, I found Diane and her ministry, Second Chance with Saving Grace. We communicated with e-mails and via phone, which eventually led me to take on a volunteer position as PR Manager for the Cryoblobunemia Vasculitis Awareness and Education outreach of SCwSG. Together we all can make a difference!
